My baby listens to me

I just don't get it.

We bought a lot of colorful and noisy (and expensive) toys for her, but all she needed was a simple grocery bill. She tore one into two pieces and kept playing with that for hours together.

She was throwing it around and picking it up meticulously. So much fun! Ok, and there were several attempts to taste the paper too. I had to keep a watch on her all the time, since she was very sneaky.

But every time she tried to put it in her mouth, she used to look at me. If I said "No!" she used to reluctantly take it off and give me one of those sheepish smiles. It was very sweet of her.
